The Wave Ceptor's magic ingredient is atomic timekeeping which ensures perfect timing via radio signals.
It automatically receives the time and date from the BT radio transmitter at Rugby (controlled by the National Physical Laboratory's atomic clock) and from Mainflingen Germany, which both have transmission ranges of 900 miles each enabling the watch to self-adjust for summer and winter in the UK and adjust to central European time using the World-time function. (Time can be set manually if required).
