This new G Shock is super innovative. Casio have been really clever and made the LCD screen much larger then normal and yet retain G Shock durability. The obvious advantage for such a big screen is that it is much easier to read with its large digits, handy if your eyesight isn’t the best. What’s more, and way cooler, is the way you can customise the digital face with up to 24 different display option as well as two different fonts and seven contrast settings. This amount of flexibility ties in really nicely with the functions that we’ve come to expect from all Casio G Shocks and makes navigation much more intuitive.
Functions: Time, date, world time (31 time zones - 31 city codes), daylight saving time on/off option, full auto calendar, stopwatch, countdown timer with auto countdown to stopwatch function and auto repeat, four multi alarms (daily, once, weekend, weekday) with snooze option, hourly time signal, button tone option
Additional Functions: Custom memo, allows you to store two memos up to 14 digits long (we’ve not completely figured this bit out yet but we presume you can get your message scrolling across the face in certain time telling modes)
