The Baby-G-shock watches are the toughest in the world. With an oil damped movement, they can withstand a 10m drop and are water resistant to at least 100m. Casio are contributing part of the money from sales of the Whale series watches to the Eco-Research Network project, in the hope that it will help to protect and improve the global environment for dolphins, whales, humans and all life forms. The BG-169A-2VER & BG-169A-4VER Casio Baby-G models feature:

- Date, day and time display in 12/24 hour formats
- Fully Automatic Calendar - pre-programmed from the year 2000 to 2039
- Daily and hourly alarm
- 1/100th Sec Stopwatch - which can measure elapsed time, split time and two finishes.
- World Time - which can display the current time in 40 cities around the world
- Day Counter Mode - Which allows you to count the number of days to a selected target date. Up to 5 daily counters can be set and named with up to 8 characters.
- Telememo Mode - for storing tlephone numbers. 20 records with an 8 character name and 12 digit number can be stored.
- Water resistant to 200m.
